Bio -Dan Mitchell, brown glossy hair and a wet nose, goes by the name of Mitch. GSOH, grins, glows and has been a faithful member of OHRFC for 9 years. Position - Open-side wing forward by trade, but can also work his magic at 6 or prop. Mitch does not do flair. He doesn't believe in spin passes, chip kicks, fancy side steps or fast movements - they don't exist. Hit hard, tackle low - cheat, steal, lie and never say die. Because we all know there ain't no school like the old school. AKA - "Mitch", "GR"

Long and Rambling Bio Son to a rugby loving father and sheep loving motherMitch was born, bred and raised into the beautiful game.He schooled at Haberdashers' Aske's Elstree and was one of the lucky few to experience the joys of a cricket pavilion, post victory chorus of 'Jerusalem', with the likes of Boyle, Kaufman, Taylor and Williams. During his whipper-snapper years, Mitch cut his teeth at Old Albanians RFC, donned the green shirt of Gods own county - Hertfordshire, and made his OH debut in 2000. After 4 years at Sheffield University , where Mitch followed in Peel's clown sized footsteps as ClubSkipper, he finally returned home to Croxdale Road. Under the leadership and wisdom of Costi, Mitch played his comeback season at prop. In sheer defiance of this selection insult he decided to lose weight, grow some long curly hair and then straighten it using a chemical straightener. Unknowing to the curly/chemically straightened-haired-wonder he was being secretly groomed all the time by the sneaky Greek captain to take over the reigns. And in the balmy summer of 2005 an inebriated Mitch agreed to steer the ship and sail the captaincy of OH. He went on to guide the 1st XV for 3 famous seasons before leaving Elstree for foreign shores. During the ‘Mitch Trilogy', he was selected at his preferred position at 7 for every game and was never dropped. Mitch enjoys - Being one of God's chose people, his new Austrian girlfriend, not playing Rugby any more. Mitch Dislikes - spending any time or effort on his Biography and Beast. Favourite song: | |||
