Player Profile - Rob "Dickskin" Dickson
Bio - Rob is an enormous burly Irishman from south of the border posessed of that most soughtafter of Rugby weapons, Farmer Strength. Usually only given to older Rugby players as a blessing for 20 years of good and loyal service to the game but sometimes granted to a "young'un", and then usually only after years of Hay bailing and Pig insemination. Rob has had numerous nicknames over the years, many based on his surname. “Dickskin” was the choice of his amusing schoolfriends. The above is less a reference to the camp antiques guy than to Rob’s ill-advised objections to everyone getting his name wrong for about a year. Has been known to lose his temper when Flan irrepressively insists on him downing pints as a result of post-match indiscretions. Position - Prop by trade and has played most of his rugby for Habs in that position. Can play both sides of the scrum, and has enjoyed the luxury of partnering elements of, and at times both components of, the infamous Sanderson front-row brotherhood. Managed a couple of games at lock as the season wore on and even donned the 6 jersey for the last few matches thereof. Can claim (a la Beast) to be able to play any position 1-8. Joined Irish and Beast to form the most mobile backrow unit in Habs’ proud history away to Royston, with a 3-0 victory an appropriate scoreline. AKA - "Dickskin", "Big Daddy" and "Dicko" |

Long and Rambling Bio Rob was born and bred in Dublin, plying his trade for Trinity, where he was ‘rewarded’ for following the weights programme to a tee the summer after first year by being moved from back row to prop. Moved to Nottingham Law School to encounter a new extreme of social rugby and cut-price triple vodka. Played a handful of games for Habs on moving to London in 07/08, having been pounced upon by Seb Taylor at a work event. Marked his maiden Habs tour that season with a bout of alcohol-fuelled unconsciousness, largely due to his shocking lack of ability at drinking games. Following marriage, played the majority of Habs’ league games in 08/09. Looks forward to getting baby son Charlie down to Croxdale to take in some world-class action. Rob enjoys - spag bol (ridiculous quantities thereof), Ireland winning the Grand Slam, holidays, U2, spending time with wife and son, ice cream, exerting physical dominance at 5-a-side football.
Favorite song: Stay by U2 and his favourite gym exercise are jerks.
